R4 INTEGRATION, INC.: CAPABILITIES

R4 Integration, Inc. (R4) provides a total system integration solution utilizing a business model previously pioneered and honed by Special Operation organizations for providing Quick Reaction Capability (QRC) solutions. This business model centers its capabilities around rapidly designing, developing, integrating and fielding technology solutions to meet the warfighter's real world needs. Because QRC-designed solutions are developed and fielded quickly, it is conventional wisdom that high quality standards cannot be implemented or meet short delivery schedules; which lead to inconsistent product quality development. R4’s design, development, integration, and QRC processes embeds ISO 9001/AS9100 into all of our processes and controls to ensure that all products and services meet the high quality and safety goals and objectives, while ensuring on time product delivery.

R4 supports a wide range of development and certification programs. Our engineers leverage a comprehensive suite of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) methods, in-house analysis tools and an extensive analytical and experimental background to offer a tailored and cost-effective solution to your problem. Our business areas include:

Technical Manual Development and Sustainment

Technical Manual Development and Sustainment

R4 Integration, Inc. is involved in every facet of Technical Manual Development and Sustainment. We support the military as both a prime and subcontractor to develop, digitize and sustain technical data in various electronic formats, including eXtensible Markup Language (XML), Portable Document Format (PDF), Indexed PDF (IPDF), FrameMaker, Standard Generalized Markup Language (SGML), and Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETMs). Our capabilities include new Technical Orders (TOs), Time Compliance Technical Orders (TCTOs), flight manuals, checklists, illustrated parts breakdowns, maintenance manuals, work cards, inspection manuals, job guides, fault isolation, maintenance instructions, and various commercial manuals to name a few.

Government and Commercial Aircraft

Government and Commercial Aircraft Certification

R4 has extensive experience providing Government and Commercial Aircraft Certification and Integration Services. R4 provides a turnkey design and integration solution that encompass communications, navigation, sensor systems, SIGINT, ELINT, Aircraft Survivability Equipment (ASE), and structural modifications. R4’s engineering capability is built upon a core staff, each with over 25 years of relevant industry experience. Experience includes all facets of technology insertion and complete flight system upgrades. R4’s engineers have accomplished complete Supplemental Type Certificates (STC) packages for FAA approval, DoD airworthiness programs, and R&D flight tests for OEM’s. R4’s engineering staff is very experienced in integrating new technology into legacy aircraft performing ELA’s, EMI/EMC analysis and testing, system design and integration. R4 utilizes industry recognized tools and products such as SolidWorks Premier solid modeling software and FEMAP/NASTRAN to support analysis and develops Product Drawings and Associated Lists in accordance with ASME Y14.24 and ASME Y14.100. R4 utilizes the SolidWorks® Enterprise Product Data Management (PDM) system to manage configuration on models, drawings, reports, technical manuals, illustrations, engineering deliverables, and documented procedures through a rigid AS-9100 document control process.

Radome and Antenna Modifications

Radome and Antenna Modifications

R4 provides turn-key radome design, integration and certification support and have experience designing external modifications to minimize risk for bird-strike, vibration and buffet, ice accretion, effect on aircraft handling qualities and performance.

Reverse Engineering

 Reverse Engineering

R4 is experienced in the reverse-engineering of aircraft geometries. Depending on fidelity requirements, we can produce 3D models of aircraft outer mold lines (OML) using a variety of sources and provide turn-key 3D model development using laser-scan and other metrology techniques. This includes development of smoothed aerodynamic lofts from noisy laser scan data.

Aircraft Design and Configuration

Aircraft Design and Configuration

R4 maintains a full suite of preliminary design methods for the sizing and assessment of new aircraft configurations. Our inverse design methods incorporate our low and high-order CFD methods to quickly and efficiently localize an optimum configuration.
