R4's patented MPHS provides a customizable and upgradable Roll-On/Roll-Off (RO/RO) SATCOM and/or Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) capability for any model C-130A-J and L-100/L-382. This turnkey solution quickly replaces the existing forward and/or center escape hatch. No special equipment or tools are required for installation and the systems can be easily upgraded and serviced by certified technicians. They are offered at industry's smallest size, weight and power/price (SWaP).

Specifically developed for the 53rd Weather Reconnaissance Squadron at Keesler Air Force Base, Mississippi, this MPHS, combined with a specialized Base Kit inside the aircraft, drastically enhances in-flight data transmission capabilities, giving more accurate information to meteorologists at the National Hurricane Center. Recent flight tests during hurricanes have already shown it to be a hugely effective tool for the NHC. (U.S. Air Force photo by Staff Sgt. Kristen Pittman)
R4's patented MPSPS can provide either a permanent or RO/RO SATCOM and/or ISR solution for any model C-130A-J and L-100/L-382. These systems can be easily upgraded and serviced by certified technicians.

The Air Force's "Combat King II" is equipped with R4's low profile MPSPS as well as our MPHS near the center. Seamlessly integrated with R4's top-of-the line base kit inside the aircraft, it provides cutting-edge upgradable Hybrid Ku/Ka SATCOM capability.

R4 successfully tested their patented MPSPS using a newly designed SATCOM antenna containing electronically steered arrays (ESA). Testing verified the system and gathered operational SATCOM data. This integration system is not a permanent modification of the aircraft and is easily reversible. The aircraft is able to communicate with numerous parties utilizing full duplex transmissions. Existing aircraft shoulder panels are replaced with the R4 MPSPS which contains transmit and receive antennas. The only interface with aircraft systems is a power source.
