Introducing the first ever RO/RO Multi-Purpose Hatch System (MPHS) developed specifically for one of the Air Force's largest aircraft. Personally requested by Air Mobility Command (AMC) (Scott AF Base, Illinois), R4's revolutionary patent pending low profile design brings state-of-the-art SATCOM capabilities to Boeing's C-17. The new MPHS quickly replaces the existing escape hatch above the forward catwalk without modifying the aircraft. From conceptual design to Military Flight Release (MFR), this revolutionary SATCOM solution was completed in only 8 months, once again demonstrating R4's rapid response abilities, helping AMC meet its "25x25" initiative (25% of the fleet upgraded by 2025 with wideband SATCOM capability).
